CryptoPanic alternative for trading bots: listing announcements as real-time events
CryptoPanic is a crypto news aggregator. If what you need is exchange listing announcements as machine-readable events, CryptoListing.ws pushes the official notices of Binance, Upbit, Bithumb and Robinhood to your bot over WebSocket — clean JSON, ticker already extracted, event already classified.

One clean JSON message per event
Each announcement reaches your bot as a small JSON object. Your code reads fields, not prose: no headline to interpret, no token name to guess, no duplicate story to filter out.
{
"type": "announcement",
"title": "Binance Will List TOKEN (TOKEN)",
"ticker": "TOKEN",
"publisher": "binance",
"listingType": "spot_listing",
"detectedTimestampUs": 1710345000005000,
"dispatchTimestampUs": 1710345000006000
}
ticker is comma-separated when one notice lists several tokens, and Upbit spot listings also carry markets (KRW, BTC, USDT). Every field is described in the message reference.
Event types a listing bot can act on
Each announcement is classified, so a bot can route it without reading the title:
spot_listing— new spot market listing (Binance, Upbit, Bithumb)futures_listing— new Binance futures or perpetual contractspot_delisting,futures_delisting— removalsmonitoring_tag_extend,monitoring_tag_remove— Binance Monitoring Tag added or liftedcaution_released— Upbit or Bithumb caution designation liftedhodler_airdrop— Binance HODLer Airdropswallet_listing,cex_listing— asset added to Robinhood, then tradablenot_listing— other Binance announcements (maintenance, token swaps and similar)
Full list and field reference in the message reference.
Three endpoints, one API key
wss://cryptolisting.ws— Tokyo: Binance, Upbit and Bithumbwss://kr.cryptolisting.ws— Seoul: Upbit and Bithumb, for bots hosted in Koreawss://us.cryptolisting.ws— N. Virginia: Robinhood
Connect from where your bot runs; the same key works on all three. Add ?cex=binance,upbit to receive only the exchanges you trade, and send {"type":"test"} to get a test announcement and check your handler before the next real one.
Check every announcement yourself
What the feed detects is public, so you can judge it before you connect:
- One page per announcement. Every Binance, Upbit and Bithumb announcement on latest listings has its own page: exchange, event type, ticker, detection time to the microsecond and, when the token was already trading, a trade-by-trade price chart from the first half-second to 24 hours after the announcement.
- Price-reaction statistics. The listing price reaction page shows how prices moved within 24 hours of each type of announcement, with its method and data. Past moves, not a forecast.
- Free feeds, no key. A JSON feed of recent announcements and an Atom feed for feed readers.
An event handler in a few lines of Python
Connect once and your handler runs on every event. A minimal client that prints each new spot or futures listing:
# pip install "websockets>=14" import asyncio, json, websockets async def run(): headers = {"X-API-Key": "YOUR_KEY"} async with websockets.connect("wss://cryptolisting.ws", additional_headers=headers) as ws: async for raw in ws: msg = json.loads(raw) if msg.get("type") != "announcement": continue if msg["listingType"] in ("spot_listing", "futures_listing"): for ticker in msg["ticker"].split(","): print(msg["publisher"], msg["listingType"], ticker) asyncio.run(run())
Node.js, Go and Rust versions are in the code examples. On the free SpeedTrial tier the ticker and title are redacted; FreeDelayed delivers them.
Start free, upgrade per exchange
- SpeedTrial — free, to benchmark delivery from your own servers;
tickerandtitleare redacted. - FreeDelayed — free, the full feed with a delay: enough to build and test your bot on real events.
- Basic and Premium — the full feed for live trading, billed per exchange: see pricing.
Free keys are valid for one week and renewable on request. To get one, message @CLWfeed on Telegram with the tier, the exchanges you want and your bot’s public IP address — each key is bound to one IP.
FAQ
Is CryptoListing.ws a CryptoPanic alternative?
For one job: receiving exchange listing announcements as machine-readable events. CryptoListing.ws pushes the official announcements of Binance, Upbit, Bithumb and Robinhood over WebSocket, classified by event type, with the ticker already extracted. It focuses on exchange announcements and does not carry news articles or social posts.
Is there a free tier?
Yes, two. SpeedTrial lets you benchmark delivery with the ticker and title redacted; FreeDelayed delivers the full feed with a delay. Both are one-week keys, renewable on request on Telegram. Paid tiers are described on the pricing page.
Which exchanges and events are covered?
Binance: spot and futures listings and delistings, Monitoring Tag changes, HODLer airdrops and other announcements. Upbit and Bithumb: new listings, caution releases and delistings. Robinhood: asset added, then tradable.
Can I use it alongside the news sources I already follow?
Yes. The feed carries exchange announcements only, so it fits next to any news source: your bot acts on the structured event while you keep reading the news as before.
How can I check the feed before paying?
Every Binance, Upbit and Bithumb announcement it detects has a public page with its detection time to the microsecond and, when the token was already trading, a price chart. With a free key, compare the timestamps in each message with your own clock.
